Note: programs are subject to cancellation if enrollment is too low.
For Session 1: PROGRAM FEES WILL COVER:
- Round Trip Air Fare - there will be a group flight from most major US cities to Rome round trip.
- Round trip transport from Airport to Florence.
- Studio space in Florence, Approximately 8 hours per week for critiques, art history lectures, etc.
- Housing - will be in furnished apartments with kitchens and based on two persons per room. Individual rooms are available at additional costs.
- All Museum entrance fees during daily field trips.
- All local bus fares when on class excursions.
- Morning art history slide lectures.
- Transportation to Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and includes 3 days in Rome, with a $395 Venice Option for 4 week program.
HOTEL AND TRAVEL COSTS DURING EXCURSIONS ARE ALSO COVERED IN THE PROGRAM FEE!
These will include for the four week program:
- Arrival: transfer from Rome Airport to Florence.
- Transportation to Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and includes 3 days in Rome, with a $395 Venice Option
- Transfers to the Rome Airport applies to the scheduled group departures only. People returning after these dates are responsible for their own bookings.
- Departure: transport from Florence to Rome, train or bus to the Airport. (This applies to the scheduled group departure only. People returning after this date are responsible for their own bookings).
- All participants will be covered by Group Travel insurance which is valid abroad. See insurance section.
- THE ARTIS PROGRAM FEE does not cover college tuition, personal expenses, such as meals, personal travel, passport fees, art supplies, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Your fees cover a round trip flight from most major cities to Rome only. All connecting transportation into a serviced city are at an additional cost to the participant. See Program Info for detailed information. There are also several optional fee based art courses available at our Florence studio. Call for details. The Group flight will be based on at least 10 participants flying with the group round trip.
If we do not get the 10 seats filled then we will cancel the group reservation and the participants will be required to purchase their own airline tickets in to Florence. Participants will be notified of the cancellation of the group flight, should it occur, before March 15th.
For Session 2: PROGRAM FEES WILL COVER:
- Classroom space in Florence, approximately 8 hours per week for critiques and art history lectures.
- Housing - will be in furnished apartments with kitchens and based on two persons per room. Individual rooms are available at additional costs.
- All Museum entrance fees during daily field trips.
- All local bus fares when on class excursions.
- Morning Art History slide lectures and on-location field trip lectures.
TRAVEL COSTS DURING EXCURSIONS ARE ALSO COVERED IN THE PROGRAM FEE!
These will include for the three week program:
- Transportation from the Florence airport to Apartments.
- Transportation to Siena and San Gimignano. There will be an Optional ($30) trip to Cinque Terre for a day at the seaside.
- All participants will be cover by Group Travel insurance which is valid abroad. See insurance section.
THE ARTIS PROGRAM FEE does not cover: Arrival transfer from Pisa Airport to Florence and return to airport at end of program. (Cost of airport shuttle is around $15.) college tuition, personal expenses, such as meals, personal travel, passport fees, art supplies, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: your fees do not cover a round trip flight to and from Florence. All Participants will need to book their own flights directly into Florence Airport arriving between 11AM and 3PM. ARTIS Reps will meet between those hours arriving participants. Anyone arriving outside of those hours will need to make special arrangements with ARTIS.
ADDITIONAL NOTE:
Please Note: Any payment more than 5 days past the due date or returned checks will incur a $25 late fee for each week late
If between Feb. 15th and 25th 2012 the dollar/euro exchange rate goes between 1.42 and 1.47 there will be an additional charge per person of $50. Between 1.47 and 1.52 another $50. Any rate above 1.52 participants will be charged $10 per each 1 cent increase.
